British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN have completed the recording process for their new album at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas with producer Kevin Shirley. According to a posting on Kevin's official web site, "There's still work to do, but the band portion is complete and in the can, so to speak." Shirley previously worked on the last three MAIDEN albums — 2000's "Brave New World", 2003's "Dance of Death" and 2006's "A Matter of Life and Death". The next IRON MAIDEN album will be the band's fifteenth studio record, and they face a challenge to follow up "A Matter of Life and Death", which was received well critically and saw the group play the whole album on tour. Fuckin' A. -------------------- |

I would love another DoD. I would prefer another Powerslave, but fuck that ain't gonna happen. However if they can at least get anywhere near the level of awesome that was Brave New World I'll be happy. -------------------- You need your Knives? Check. Rope? Check. Dagger? Check. Chains? As long as it's not Fear of the Dark I think we'll all be happy.

Better Fear Of The Dark than The X Factor or Virtual XI.

I've been convinced for the longest time that Benjamin Breeg is the protagonist from Seventh Son.

Definitely. Brave New World is such a relief to hear, especially after their 90's output.

Haven't heard ANY of their stuff from this decade. Should I get into it? Brave New World definitely. Listen to Dance of Death and A Matter of Life and Death only if you like albums filled with 8 minute epics in odd time signatures with occasional string arrangements. -------------------- Did you ever find Bugs Bunny attractive when he'd dress up and play a girl bunny?

Awesome, I hope it this album is somewhere near the quality of Brave New World, but at the end of the day even bad Maiden is good. Plus im going to see Maiden in august so maybe ill get to hear some new material live, that would be cool.
